DIY: Choker T-Shirt.
Lately, I've been obsessed with choker cut out t-shirts... I actually have a lot of t-shirts that the collar makes me look like a boy, specially if it's a lazy day.
In fact, I just got a blouse with a choker cut out, so I thought that instead of buying a t-shirt in this style, I could just Do It Myself (DIM? Duh?).
Here are some examples of this T-Shirts:
Here's what you'll need:
- Scissors
- Something to mark where you'll cut, masking tape, a ruler + a pen, you choose
- Obviously, the shirt you'll alter
Let's Get Started. |
Baby Steps:
First, mark how wide you want the cut out to be, I did so by putting two dots right below the collar.
Then, I put some masking tape from each dot to have straight lines that cross each other at some point (having an inverted triangle)
I continued by marking the inside of the masking tape with a white color pencil.
I removed the masking tape, folded a bit the fabric and did a cut, then guided myself with the lines and cut along them.
*I cutted just below the stitches on the collar.
There you have it!
I ended up wearing this shirt to school since I loved the final product:
So there you have it! If you liked it and would like me to bring more DIY's to the blog, don't forget to tell me, via any of my social networks: @cixara
